About the Growth Strategy Team

The Growth Strategy team at Snow Commerce is responsible for the long term account development of clients. The Strategic Account Manager manages an assigned portfolio of clients within a team “squad” setting and plays a critical role in managing profitable client programs. They are responsible for maintaining and growing relationships with their clients, developing the client specific strategic vision, ensuring successful management of plan execution, including resourcing plans and ultimate retention of their assigned client accounts. The role typically involves building strong and trusted relationships with client partners to understand their business needs and opportunities, while pairing those with Snow solutions in order to grow the long-term partnership and facilitate account revenue growth.

Position Overview

This role requires an experienced and results-driven account leader. As a Strategic Account Manager within the Growth Strategy team, you will be work within an assigned Snow Squad framework and report to your Squad leader. You will be assigned a portfolio of accounts within this Squad and will be responsible for developing and overseeing the program strategy for those accounts. Additionally you may oversee one or more Strategic Account Strategists that are responsible for managing the execution of the program strategy through the organization. You will be responsible for the annual strategy for your account portfolios, as well as, account health and financial performance. You will be responsible for client contract forecasting and contract management. Your focus will be on driving long-term account success, program strategy, reaching revenue targets and ensuring client retention.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Account Portfolio Management: Responsible for managing a portfolio of accounts, forecasting revenue, and creating plans that drive to growth targets. This includes being a primary contact for your accounts and also managing Account Strategists to ensure execution of the program plan.

  • Management Responsibility: Manage Strategic Account Specialists accountable for team performance, motivation and financial performance.

  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, strategic relationships with enterprise-level clients, especially with our main points of contact and decision-makers.

  • Product Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of our Printful and Snow Commerce products, services, and capabilities to effectively identify solutions that help reach goals on client accounts.

  • Consultative Selling: Engage with clients in a consultative manner, understanding their specific needs and offering tailored solutions that meet their requirements.

  • Account Growth: Develop strategic account plans to generate revenue from end consumer transactions, services, bulk product orders and applications. Identify opportunities to expand client accounts through upselling additional services, cross-selling complementary products, and uncovering new business opportunities. Sell, or co-sell these concepts into client with support from manager.

  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with clients to understand their long-term goals and business objectives, and act as a thought leader in developing and pitching customized strategies to foster growth.

  • Account Reviews: Conduct regular account reviews to assess client satisfaction, address concerns, and identify growth opportunities

  • Client Engagement: Conduct regular business planning sessions with clients to assess the business and develop growth plans. Educate clients about new features, products, and industry best practices to help them maximize their ROI.

  • Data Analysis: Utilize data and analytics to track client performance, identify trends, and provide insights that drive informed decision-making.

  • Contract Renewals: Ensure the successful renewal of client contracts by proactively engaging with clients, addressing any issues, and presenting compelling value propositions. Leverage support of manager to aid in closing contracts.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, and customer support, to ensure maximized results across programs and identify new opportunities to innovate for client accounts.

  • Market Insights: Stay informed about e-commerce trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies to provide valuable insights to clients.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA is a plus.

  • Proven track record of at least 5 years in account management, business development and/or strategic planning, preferably in the e-commerce, merch-on-demand, or related industries.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and effectively present and convey information, including to stakeholders at executive levels.

  • Results-driven mindset with a passion for exceeding targets and achieving sales goals.

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Proficiency in using sales tools, CRM software, Google Apps for Business, and Microsoft Office suite.

  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

  • Adaptability and willingness to learn about new products, technologies, and industry trends.

  • Strong strategic and problem-solving abilities.

  • Experience managing staff.

Requirements:

  • This role is based out of Cincinnati, OH or remotely as approved by manager

  • Travel, varies by season but up to 10%

  • Salary Range: $80,000-$115,000 + 10% based on both company and individual performance
