Junior Accountant

About the role:
We’re looking for a Junior Accountant who will manage company credit and debit card transactions, process employee expense claims, and accurately record vendor invoices and banking documents in line with accounting procedures. In this role, you’ll help ensure smooth day-to-day financial operations while supporting the accounting team with various administrative and accounting tasks.
Your daily tasks will include:
Monitor and process company credit and debit card transactions;
Ensure timely and accurate processing of employee reimbursement (expense) claims;
Record and account for vendor invoices and banking documents in accordance with accounting procedures;
Support the accounting team with various day-to-day accounting tasks and assignments.
Below is a list of formal requirements, but you’re in the right place if you’re responsible, have an analytical mind,and a desire to learn. Since we’re an international team, our accountants need to have strong English skills as well.
Your qualifications:
A degree or current enrollment in an accounting, economics, or finance program (or completed accounting courses)
Proficiency in MS Excel
Initiative and attention to detail
Experience working in accounting and with accounting software or in creditor/accounts payable accounting will be considered an advantage.

Intro Chat
If our Talent Acquisition Team believes that you could be a great fit for the role, we’ll invite you to a 30-45-minute introductory call. Our goal is to learn about your relevant experiences, skills, and motivations. This is also your chance to ask any questions you may have about FYUL.
Practical Task
Some roles require our candidates to complete a practical assignment. It helps us assess your problem-solving skills and your ability to complete the duties required for the role.

The next step is a 30-60-minute call to meet the hiring manager. The goal of this call is to assess if you have the skills necessary for the role. Expect more detailed questions about your experience and some situational or behavioral questions.
