Mesh Payments helps finance teams control, automate, and gain visibility into corporate spend, combining corporate cards, expense management, and travel booking in a single platform. We serve fast-growing, multi-entity, and global companies — from venture-backed startups scaling their finance function to established mid-market and enterprise businesses managing spend across multiple subsidiaries, currencies, and geographies. Our Compliance & Risk team sits at the center of the business, and this is a cross-functional role that works closely with Sales, Customer Success, Legal, and our banking partners.

About the Role

Mesh Payments is seeking an entry-level Compliance Analyst to join our Compliance team. This role is responsible for supporting Compliance Operations while serving as a compliance point of contact for our customer-facing teams. No prior compliance experience is required — full training on our policies, procedures, and systems will be provided.

Working Schedule is Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

What you’ll do

  • Review new customer applications and documentation for completeness and accuracy, and conduct KYB/KYC checks, including identity and entity verification
  • Review and approve incoming customer deposits against established thresholds and policies, and monitor ongoing activity for unusual patterns or risk indicators
  • Support operational compliance, including the handling of money movement and internal operational processes in line with policies
  • Screen customers and related parties against sanctions and watchlists, escalate potential matches for review.
  • Serve as the compliance point of contact for requests from Customer Success and Support
  • Maintain organized, audit-ready documentation of decisions and the rationale behind them, to support audits and bank partner reviews
  • Follow compliance policies and procedures precisely, and stay current on updates as they’re rolled out
  • Identify opportunities to improve existing processes and flag them to the Compliance Manager

What we’re looking for

  • Extremely detail-oriented — consistent, careful, and thorough, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality work
  • College/university degree
  • 1-2 years of professional work experience (compliance experience a plus, not required)
  • Strong communication, both written and verbal, is required when interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Willing and able to work onsite at our NJ office 3 days per week
  • Willing and able to work the 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM shift, Monday-Friday
