About the Job:

We are seeking a Senior Credit Underwriting & Operations Analyst who will play a key role in shaping the future of corporate payments through data-driven insights, strong controls, and automation. In this role, you will leverage data to develop, optimize, and execute credit strategies including underwriting and portfolio-risk programs for a diverse base of B2B customers, including global enterprises and publicly-traded companies.

You will own and manage the credit portfolio and credit outcomes end-to-end. This role requires a strong understanding of credit concepts, fluency with data, and the ability to independently lead complex, cross-functional initiatives. You will partner closely with Finance, Compliance, Operations, Sales, and C-level leadership, offering the unique opportunity to influence strategy at the highest levels. You will help build scalable decisioning frameworks, implement innovative risk strategies, and ensure disciplined execution across the business.

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage Mesh’s credit portfolio end-to-end, including setting and adjusting credit limits, monitoring trends, and driving proactive portfolio actions
  • Build and refine credit underwriting and portfolio-risk strategies using quantitative techniques, internal and external data, and financial analysis
  • Develop scalable frameworks for portfolio risk assessment across multiple lending products, industry segments, and customer profiles
  • Conduct forecasting, loss modeling, portfolio performance analysis, and due diligence for new programs and credit initiatives
  • Present portfolio insights, trends, and recommendations to senior and C-level leadership to inform strategic decisions
  • Lead credit policy enhancements from design through execution and impact measurement
  • Own and improve operational credit workflows, driving control, automation, and efficiency as the business scales
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Success, Operations, Finance, and Compliance to manage credit-related workflows
  • Engage directly with customers, supporting diligence and onboarding for enterprise and global Companies.

What You’ll Bring:

  • 2+ years of commercial credit underwriting, ratings, or related functional experience
  • 1+ years of credit operations experience.
  • Experience in building and managing a credit program
  • Knowledge of business credit risk trends and first-party and third-party fraud risks
  • Experience in leveraging internal portfolio, macroeconomic, industry and external data in the development of risk appetite frameworks, credit policies and forward-looking forecasts.
  • Strong analytical skills and prior experience leveraging large and complex datasets for driving business decisions
  • Commercial card, B2B credit and or travel industry credit risk management is a plus
  • Strong partnership skills and proven success in working with business partners in sales, client management, product and operations
  • Hands-on experience in a fintech/ startup environment
  • You combine creative and strategic thinking with operational excellence.
  • High attention to detail and comfort managing nuanced processes
  • You are effective at communicating with stakeholders with varying business goals and levels of technical knowledge
