Tier 1 Support Engineer

Description

Key responsibilities:

  • Continuous 24/7 tickets monitoring and alerting
  • Logging production errors in the K2view ticketing system
  • Investigating and analyzing production issues
  • Notifying customers as necessary
  • Restoring the system to an operational state when applicable, gathering data for Tier 2/R&D, and creating data correction processes
  • Informing the project team of necessary changes to address and resolve the error, if applicable
  • Engaging Tier 2 support when needed
  • Generating weekly and monthly ticket reports

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Industrial Management, Computer Science, or relevant experience.
  • Required: Over 2 years of experience with Linux (Windows experience is a plus).
  • Required: Over 2 years of experience with SQL/NoSQL databases.
  • Required: Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving basic technical issues.
  • Required: Fluent in both spoken and written English.
  • Required: Willingness to work shifts, including one weekend per month (24/7 shifts).
  • Required: Exceptional communication skills.
  • Required: Customer-focused and able to remain calm under pressure.
  • Preferred: Proven experience as a Support Engineer or in a similar customer support role.
  • Preferred: Proven experience with Java programming.
