The role
We are looking for a Purchasing Specialist (Middle) to join our global team remotely from Ukraine. In this role, you will act as the primary point of contact for all purchase requests, working alongside another Specialist to ensure seamless, high-quality support for all departments – from Engineering to Marketing.
This role goes beyond order processing: you will actively optimize the request-to-pay journey, drive cost-saving initiatives, and collaborate with world-class global vendors. If you are tech-savvy, enjoy working with automated procurement systems, and like balancing financial precision with supplier negotiations, this position offers a clear path toward Senior expertise in a global IT environment.
You will report to Kateryna Zodvun and collaborate with 1 Purchasing Specialist and 2 Procurement Sourcing Specialists in the team.
What you will do
Operational Procurement
Manage daily purchase requests in the procurement automation system (ZIP): review, correct, and process requests ensuring data completeness and compliance
Provide instant support to requesters and act as an escalation point for basic incidents, maintaining high requester satisfaction (target: Avg PR cycle time ≤10 working days)
Ensure accurate cost allocation, process vendor invoices, and guarantee timely booking for payments
Vendor Management
Act as the main operational contact for world-class vendors (Google, Amazon, LinkedIn, etc.)
Review contract attributes, highlight potential risks, and support stakeholders in decision-making
Strategic Sourcing & Negotiation (30% of scope)
Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and payment conditions to secure optimal commercial outcomes
Identify bottlenecks in the procurement cycle and contribute to workflow improvements, guides, and instructions
Reporting & Analysis
Produce monthly performance, financial, and cost-saving reports
Support initiatives for hard savings (reductions) and soft savings (cost avoidance)
What you bring
English proficiency at a B2 level (fluent written and confident speaking) to collaborate with our international teams
2+ years in procurement/purchasing, with hands-on experience in purchasing software and SaaS management tools
Familiarity with procurement platforms and ERP system (NetSuite, Coupa preferred)
Strong attention to detail, proactive communication, multi-stakeholder management, and negotiation skills to improve commercial terms and mitigate risks
Nice to have
Experience with global IT vendors and SaaS licensing
Knowledge of cost-saving methodologies (hard and soft savings) and working capital optimization
