The role

At Ideals, we’ve experienced rapid growth and expanded our operations across 30 locations within Europe, America and Asia with a current headcount of 500 people. We continue to scale and operate globally, and we’re gearing up to establish new locations to reach 900+ Idealers in the next 3 years.

We are looking for a Global Employment Specialist remotely in Ukraine to ensure our processes and contracts are compliant with the local regulations. You will be a dedicated point of contact for all employment and migration matters across locations we hire in, with specific requirements from an Employment and Compliance perspective, and take part in new locations set up.

You will collaborate closely with the People Operations Team, the Legal Team, external providers as Employer of Record, and report to the Director of People Operations.

What you will do

  • Provide comprehensive HR support: resolve employment-related queries, manage paperwork, and process leave requests timely and efficiently

  • Coordinate with Employer of Record (EORs), legal advisors, and immigration consultants to ensure compliance with local laws

  • Set up new hiring locations, ensuring adherence to local regulations

  • Maintain our HRIS and ensure data accuracy

  • Coordinate and arrange visas, work permits, and provide internal consultations on immigration matters

  • Support internal teams in audit and tender processes

  • Contribute compliance gaps analysis across locations and support solutions implementation

  • Develop an internal knowledge base on employment law, internal policies and practices

What you bring

  • 3+ years of experience as a People Operations / Global Employment Specialist or similar

  • B2+ English proficiency

  • Demonstrated expertise in official employment operations

  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills with providers and partners

  • Experience managing visa and work permit processes

  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills

  • High attention to detail, adaptability, and consistency in work

  • Ability to create clear, readable, and user-friendly policies and guides

Nice to have

  • Background in Legal / Global Mobility / Tax / Accounting

  • Experience of cooperation with EoRs
