About the Role

Join iDeals VDR as a Senior QA Engineer to raise the bar on reliability, UX, and security while shipping next-gen capabilities – advanced viewers and editors, smart translations/redactions, and seamless integrations. You’ll own product quality end-to-end: shaping strategy and automation, expanding comprehensive E2E, API, and performance testing, and steering engineering decisions to deliver faster with zero compromise on user experience and performance.

What You Will Do

  • Strategic Test Planning & Design: Analyze requirements and collaborate with stakeholders to design comprehensive and effective testing, ensuring maximum coverage and proactive risk mitigation through early involvement in the development process.

  • Test Automation & Execution: Lead the development, maintenance, and optimization of robust manual and automated test cases across web, API, and mobile platforms. This includes designing advanced automation frameworks and integrating them into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing and rapid feedback.

  • Defect Management & Resolution: Oversee the entire defect lifecycle, from timely identification and reproduction to efficient resolution, ensuring high-quality product delivery.

  • Environment & Data Management: Prepare and maintain reliable test environments, data, and pipelines to support scalable and consistent testing efforts.

  • Quality Advocacy & Mentorship: Champion continuous improvement in QA practices, mentor colleagues, share knowledge, and actively contribute to a culture of quality across the engineering team.

  • Security & Performance Integration: Prioritize and integrate security testing practices and performance testing into the overall QA strategy to ensure robust and efficient applications.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Foster close collaboration with development teams and product managers to align on functionality, identify issues early, and ensure products meet business goals and user expectations.

What We Look For

  • Quality control and test management experience, including defect management, test planning, and data-driven testing.

  • Strong background in UI automation with Java stack (Selenium).
    Deep expertise in API test automation (RestAssured, Retrofit, Karate).

  • Solid understanding of CI/CD and Git workflows; hands-on with Octopus, TeamCity, Jenkins, GitHub Actions.

  • Practical experience with Docker for building, deploying, and containerizing applications.

  • Knowledge of security testing practices and tools (Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP, Nessus); ability to integrate security into testing pipelines.

  • Proficiency with SQL and hands-on experience in web and mobile application testing.

  • Growth mindset: motivated to learn new tools, experiment with emerging tech (including AI), and continuously optimize personal and team performance.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).

  • Familiarity with performance testing tools.

  • Experience with AI features testing.

  • Experience in healthcare, fintech, or other regulated industries.

  • Contributions to open-source projects, custom test tools, or published frameworks.
