The role
We’re growing fast in Italy, where Ideals is already a leading name in the M&A space. To accelerate the next chapter of our VDR growth, we’re looking for a highly motivated Business Development Manager based in Milan. You’ll be backed by two on-the-ground teammates, including one SDR directly partnering with you for outbound prospecting and lead generation. As a quota-carrying BDM, you’ll manage a pipeline of 50+ opportunities and engage with 40+ new prospects each month. You’ll engage with senior decision-makers and rising professionals, acting as a trusted advisor and demonstrating how Ideals streamlines dealmaking.

What you will do
- Build relationships with key stakeholders and industry influencers throughout the Milan metropolitan region
- Deliver sales targets by focusing on new customer acquisition
- Proactively build and manage a pipeline, working with strategic Italian accounts and constantly developing new opportunities
- Actively contribute to the execution of the sales and marketing strategy for the Italian region
- Take part in arranging M&A Community events to strengthen Ideals’ brand presence
- Deliver compelling product presentations to clients
- Structure, negotiate and close deals
- Consistently share insights and provide updates to customers
- Provide relevant customer feedback to the product development and management teams
- Collaborate with Customer Success and Inside Sales to grow customer satisfaction and the company’s revenue
What you bring
- 3 – 5 years of demonstrable success in direct sales or business development within B2B or professional services sector
- Experience in high-velocity sales environments and effectively engaging with decision-makers
- A track record of successfully managing pipelines and closing high-value deals
- Exceptional business communication skills to structure persuasive pitches and navigate client discovery
- Can-do attitude with a passion for continuous improvement
- Native-level proficiency in Italian, and C1 level in English
Nice to have
- Understanding of sales techniques such as SPIN, MEDDIC, BANT etc.
- Experience selling to C-Level clients
