About us

At Cattle Care, we use Artificial Intelligence to increase the revenue of dairy farms and decrease GHG emissions, antibiotics, and hormone usage. Our technology not only optimizes farm efficiency but also ensures high standards of animal welfare. We secured $3.6M in funding from serial angel investors, VCs, and domain experts.

We work with 119 farms, monitoring 500,000 cows, and have an annual recurring revenue (ARR) of $3.0M.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Computer Vision specialist to help scale and optimize a video stream analysis system processing data from hundreds of farms and thousands of cameras. This is a fully hands-on role with complete responsibility for delivering results.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement the architecture for video processing and action recognition systems.

• Improve object detection algorithms, focusing on accuracy, generalization, and speed optimization.

• Enhance system scalability to effectively support video analytics across 100+ farms.

What is in it for you?

  • It’s a full-time, fully remote position
  • If we like working with each other in addition to competitive salary you will get equity - you have a reasonably good chance to become wealthy in your lifetime.
  • This is a very unusual and interesting application of technology. Our clients are huge dairy farms in the US, with a number of cows ranging from thousands to tens of thousands. You will have the right to call yourself a cowboy or cowgirl.

We are built on:

Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Google Cloud, OpenCV.

Skills and experience we're looking for:

  • You have 3+ years of experience in computer vision.
  • Experience deploying models in production (full-cycle development of products based on video models).
  • Strong production-level programming skills.
  • Hands-on experience with video processing and object detection (we use YOLO & PyTorch, but other approaches are acceptable if they deliver strong results).
  • Preferably, experience working with LLMs.
